Jerry was the son of Leonard F. and Lillie Ann Hobbs Howard. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Arthur Phelan. Jerry was a resident of the Stroud and Chandler area most of his life and was a member of the Indiana Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked for Kitchen Oil Company in Stroud, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard, and one brother, Robert. Survivors include, Mother and Step Father, Arthur and Lillie Phelan of Stroud, OK, Two Brothers, Leonard Freeman Howard of Shawnee, OK, Arthur Henry Phelan of Stroud, OK, Three Sisters & brothers in law, Kathy & Terry Holland of Meeker, OK, Patty & Steve Griffith of Prague, OK, Ruth Elaine Bowser of Kittanning, PA, Many Nieces and Nephews, Other relative and many friends. Graveside services will be held at the Davenport Cemetery on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Yvonne Jones officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
